Both adolescents and adults can now enjoy the benefits of rapid orthodontic treatment, in most cases as quickly as three to eight months. Surgically Facilitated Orthodontics is a method of speeding up orthodontic treatment for those patients who desire quicker results with less time wearing braces.

Surgically Facilitated Orthodontics addresses the straightening, spacing, closing of gaps and repositioning of your teeth using proven surgical and orthodontic techniques. This method was originally developed by a team of Oral Surgeons and Orthodontists and involves both Dr. Salib as well as your orthodontist as they have been specifically trained in accelerated orthodontics.

The Surgically Facilitated Orthodontics procedure is done in the office setting under sedation affording our patients comfort and ease. The procedure begins with your orthodontist placing orthodontic braces followed by a minor procedure that stipples the outer dense bone surrounding the teeth that are to be moved following by bone grafting. This procedure allows your orthodontist to now harness the power of temporary changing bone physiology moving the teeth into their ideal position in a rapid, safe, and stable manner. After completion of treatment, the bone around the roots of the teeth will rebuild itself in its new position, even stronger than before treatment was began. Dr. Salib will work closely with your orthodontist to achieve the desired results.
